What Are Essential Oils?

Essential oils protect the plant, kill bacteria and viruses, aid in reproduction, while their aromas attract pollinators and deter predators and pests. They aren’t synthetic, which allows our bodies to recognize the essential oils and use them to our benefit just as they do for the plant.

For thousands of years, essential oils have been used for their medicinal benefits. Across the ancient world, from Africa to Asia,  medicine was rooted in the use of plant materials and essential oils.

Today, most prescription drugs are synthesized to pattern plant materials. Because these drugs are not natural and are often not recognized by the body, we encounter side effects. Essential oils provide a safe and effective way to treat many of our body’s needs naturally without the introduction of toxins or the side effects of drugs in our bodies.
